Logan Darnell named SEC Pitcher of the Week
Junior Logan Darnell was named SEC Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete-game shutout against San Diego Friday.
In his third career start, Darnell needed just 90 pitches to make it through nine innings. He allowed just eight singles while striking out four. He also induced San Diego into four double plays.
The complete-game shutout was the first for UK since James Paxton tossed a shutout against Ole Miss on the final week of the regular season in 2008.
On the year, Darnell has made three starts and posted a 2-0 record and a 2.57 ERA.
