Game notes from UK’s 74-66 win over Florida

- UK’s 74-66 win over Florida moved the Cats to 29-2 on the season, and 14-2 in the Southeastern Conference. The Gators drop to 20-11 and 9-7 in the SEC.

- The Cats sealed up the outright SEC regular season championship on Saturday, their 44th all-time, but the win over Florida will help UK in their quest to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament (if they even need any more help).

- UK will get a first round bye in the SEC Tournament, and face the winner of South Carolina (the SEC East’s No. 5 seed) and Alabama (the SEC West’s No. 4 seed) on Friday at 1 p.m.

- The Cats started their three seniors, Ramon Harris, Perry Stevenson and Mark Krebs, and junior forward Patrick Patterson who participated in Senior Day festivities due to the accomplishment of earning his degree in three years at UK. Freshman guard John Wall rounded out the lineup.

- Five UK players reached double figures in scoring, led by sophomore guard Darius Miller and freshman guard Eric Bledsoe with 14 points each. Patterson scored 13, Wall had 11 and sophomore guard Darnell Dodson had 10 points.

- It was the first time UK had five players reach double figures since Jan. 30 against Vanderbilt.

- Miller led the Cats with three, 3-point baskets.

- Patterson had a season-high four steals to go along with his 13 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

- Patterson moved past Cliff Hagan to 16th place on UK’s career scoring list with 1,482 points.

- Wall extended his UK freshman season scoring record (504), assist record (187) and free throws made record (147).

- Dodson was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.

- Freshman forward DeMarcus Cousins scored eight points to go along with nine rebounds.

- Cousins extended his UK freshman rebounding record (312).

- UK shot 53.8 percent in the first half.

- The Cats were 8-for-18 from beyond the arc and 20-for-28 from the free-throw line.

- Florida outscored the Cats in the paint 36-22 and outrebounded them 38-34.

- Attendance was 24,354.

- Sunday’s attendance of 24,354 set a new record for total attendance (433,989) and average attendance (24,111) through 18 games.
