Wall, Cousins make final 16 for Oscar Robertson award
The award lists just keep rolling in and freshmen John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins keep seeing their names listed on them.
The latest award is the Oscar Robertson award, given by the U.S. Basketball Writer’s Association to its National Player of the Year. The two Cats are the only two freshmen on the list and the second set of teammates (Sherron Collins and Cole Alderich of Kansas is the other) to make the final 16.
The award will be given out April 2, the Final Four weekend, and is voted on by the nearly 900 journalists that make up the association.
